Welcome! Spirit Rock Meditation Center is located approximately 45 minutes northwest of San Francisco, 60 minutes west of Oakland and 12 minutes from Fairfax. Please note: Fairfax is the last stop for gas, so be sure to plan accordingly.

Getting Here Via Car

From San Francisco, take 101 North, across the Golden Gate Bridge. Take the Sir Francis Drake/San Anselmo exit off HWY 101 in Larkspur. Stay on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. for the next 10 miles toward the west. Our center is located on the right‐hand side of the road and there is a sign at the entrance. From the East Bay, take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. exit off Interstate 580 immediately after crossing the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge. Stay on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. for the next 10 miles toward the west. Our center is located on the right‐hand side of the road and there is a sign at the entrance.

Arriving from the north, take HWY 101 South. until you reach Hetherton St./Central San Rafael exit. Take a right on 3rd St. which will join with 2nd St. & Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Stay on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. for the next 10 miles toward the west. Our center is located on the right‐hand side of the road and there is a sign at the entrance.

Getting Here From Airports

Spirit Rock is accessible from both the Oakland (OAK) and San Francisco (SFO) International Airports. Please allow two to three hours to get from the airport to Spirit Rock. Either airport is fine, choose the flight arrangements that will get you to the retreat on time and do not cause you to leave early. Check‐in is between 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. PT on the opening day of the retreat. Check out is 11:00 a.m. PT on the last day. No late arrivals or early departures. Booking a shuttle with Western Eagle:

Western Eagle Shuttle (415.342.6444 or www.westerneagleshuttle.com) rates are $100 for the first passenger and $15 for each additional passenger one way.

Booking Your Shuttle To Spirit Rock: Feel free to book your shuttle directly through Western Eagle's website to get to Spirit Rock.
Booking Your Shuttle Away From Spirit Rock: Please do NOT book your return shuttle on Western Eagle's website. Our Retreat Coordinators will take care of your return booking directly once you arrive on-site. We have pre-existing, agreed-upon time slots with Western Eagle, and booking privately creates logistical issues.

Rideshare Apps:

• Uber/Lyft offer service with rates between approximately $70-$100 depending on the day and time. (Please note,Uber/Lyft work best on the way to Spirit Rock, but often have a hard time picking up from Spirit Rock due to poor phone reception)

Service to San Rafael Transit Center:

• SFO: Marin Airporter (415.461.4222 or www.marinairporter.com) is approximately $23 one way to 1081 Andersen Drive, San Rafael. This is 1.8 miles from the San Rafael Transit Center, from which a taxi can take you to Spirit Rock.
• OAK: Sonoma County Airport Express (707.837.8700 or www.airportexpress.com) is approximately $30 to the transit center.

Getting to Spirit Rock from the San Rafael Transit Center (3rd and Hetherton)

Taxi: Cost is approximately $25-$30, and the ride takes 20-25 minutes to Spirit Rock. Taxis are usually waiting at the transit center, but you may wish to reserve one in advance by calling Marin Happy Cab Company (415.455.4555) or Radio Cab (415.485.1234).

Uber/Lyft: Cost is about $25-$30 from the transit center to Spirit Rock

Bus: The West Marin Stage goes from San Rafael Transit Center to West Marin everyday via the #68 bus. When boarding the bus, please tell the driver that you’re attending a retreat at Spirit Rock and to drop you off in front of the entrance gate. The cost is $2 for each adult.

Carpooling and Ridesharing: Sometimes local retreatants offer rides from the San Rafael Transit Center to Spirit Rock (often they will offer rides to return from Spirit Rock once the retreat is over as well).
