Spirit Rock’s campus is set on more than 400 acres in beautiful Marin County, just 19 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Spirit Rock offers a range of residential and online retreats, drop-in classes, and dharma training programs. Major Gifts Officer

The Major Gifts Officer is a strategic and self-motivated fundraiser committed to establishing and growing productive, long-term relationships with current and new donors, and bringing energy and creativity to the Development department. Reporting to and partnering with the Executive Director, the Major Gifts Officer is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of at least 75 individuals throughout the Bay Area and greater California to raise support for annual and campaign gifts to Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Annual Giving Manager

The Annual Giving Manager serves as a key development team leadership member and an active thought partner working with the Executive Director in strategy affecting Spirit Rock.  They will be instrumental in engaging the Board, Executive Director, and the executive management team in the creation and implementation of an innovative and strategic fund development strategy that can sustain and strengthen all development needs for the entire organization. Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator (DC) specializes in processing and acknowledging donated revenue and supports additional development department administrative operations like the annual fund, major giving, and legacy giving activities in collaboration with the other members of the Development team. This role is responsible maintaining the integrity of the entire donor database with support from the Database Administrator. They provide operational support for the Director of Development and fundraising initiatives as needed, including, but not limited to multi-channel appeals, events, and donor moves management. Controller

The Controller is responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The Controller supports presentations to the board finance and audit committee, and works closely with the senior leadership team on all organizational finance and IT matters. The Controller leads all day-to-day finance operations and supervises the accounting team members, including functional responsibility over the accounting department, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position at Spirit Rock Meditation Center will oversee general accounting and perform complex accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and verifying financial transactions. The Senior Accountant will maintain a ledger to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks, including transactional processing, financial analysis, and annual budget responsibilities. Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise, as in answering the phone, interacting with residents and staff, etc. Must be able to speak clearly and understand and be understood using the English language.
  • Cognitive: Frequently required to concentrate in considerable detail with occasional interruption. Must be able to attend to a task/function through to completion. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas, several at a time. Must be able to remember multiple tasks and assignments given to self and others over a period of days and months. Must be able to shift priority and move from one task to another with ease, including the ability to multi-task.
  • Equipment: Ability to drive a car. Occasionally required to drive to work functions at other locations or make pick-ups and deliveries. Must maintain a valid driver’s license. Frequently required to use equipment such as copiers, telephone, and fax machines.
