December 29, 2020 - Being Here, Being Free

We come to meditation with all this momentum from our life. There’s often a backlog of unfelt, unseen stuff that wants to be expressed. Our practice is not to try to stop what’s arising, but to be here for it. To allow what’s here to come, and to go. You may notice as you sit amidst the churn, sleepiness, boredom, or contentedness—whatever the array of things you’re feeling—that there are moments of here. Be in that noticing: when are you here, and when are you not? Not with judgment, but as devotion, as dedication to being with your life.
