Teresa LaMendola Kabat-Zinn

Teresa LaMendola Kabat-Zinn, M.A., is a life coach and parent educator who specializes in bringing mindfulness skills and awareness practices into the lives of parents. In her coaching practice, she offers support, training, and mindfulness skills to parents to help them bring greater awareness, clarity, and choicefulness in their parenting. She is a mother, writer, and teacher who lives and breathes with the intention of being present to life as it is unfolding, holding this to be the foundation for self-discovery and growth. She lives in the East Bay with her husband and two children.

Teresa has over 15 years of professional experience in education, program and curriculum development as well as postpartum counseling and health support services. She has devoted many years to working with children who have autism and families and caregivers of children with special needs. She co-developed and taught an in-depth mindfulness training and curriculum specifically for mothers of children with special needs as part of a long-term study on stress and cell aging at the University of California San Francisco. She has led programs at UCSF, Stanford’s Lucile Packard Children’s Center, Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and presented at the Wisdom 2.0 Conference Parenting Intensive.
